Goodbye GMA!

Nine perennial years of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s crooked and scandalous term will now at last come to an end.   Today, we will make that big step towards a new Philippines as we go out and vote our nation's new leaders in the 2010 National Elections.

Are you ready for the new government?

Just this morning, I, together with my Mom, Auntie and my younger sister, attended the Christ Commission Fellowship's Sunday Worship at St. Francis Square.  Pastor Peter never fails to amaze and inspire me.

Pastor Peter talked about two topics: (1) Elections and (2) Moms and Families.

He told us a story about a man who was asked who is he going to vote in the upcoming elections.  The man answered *toot*, a leader who, at the same time, is a drunkard, a womanizer and a gambler.  The man who asked the question was shocked and said "Why would you vote such a man?"  The other man replied, "Bakit hindi?  Eh ganyan rin naman kami."

People vote according to their character.  If we are not corrupt and we really are against corruption, then no corrupt leader would ever win.  Amen?  Amen to that.

We make the government.  Vote not according to their scores in surveys nor be persuaded by good rhetorics.  What's more important is the candidates' hearts, how they really want to..

-- LEAD our country with FEAR OF THE LORD
-- SERVE the nation and thru HIM, our LORD
-- bring SALVATION to all the people.

I personally am feeling positive, that this is the time that Philippines will transform with God's grace using the next leaders as His channels.

"I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds."
Acts 26:20

If we repent from our sins, God will bless us.  God will transform us and everything around us.

LET'S ALL PRAY FOR AN HONEST, ORDERLY and PEACEFUL ELECTIONS.

GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES!

P.S. Happy mother's day to the greatest mom ever, my MOM!  And yes you have read that right, my Mom's the greatest!  Forever and ever, AMEN!
Hahaha. :p
